COMPO RULES

▶▶ Newschool Demo

• Max duration: 8 minutes
• Provide a video capture (720p or 1080p)

▓▒░ Oldschool Demo

• Any console prior to 2005 and computer prior to 1995 are considered oldschool
• The demo must work on the real hardware
• Additional hardware allowed if it can be emulated (e.g., 512k AMIGA 500)
• Max duration: 8 minutes
• Max size: 2 media of original machine
• Provide running instructions and video capture (720p or 1080p)

◈ Sticker Compo

• Must relate to the demoparty theme
• Provide a photo and own the original
• Specify max size (e.g., 20×20 cm)
• Image formats: PNG, JPG, RAW
• Open to all participants
• 1 entry per person
• Send by email to Callisto

█ Oldschool Graphics

• Formats: PNG or executable
• Max resolution: 320×256 / 32 colors
• Include 3 WIP steps + final version

◉ Newschool Graphics

• Render, scan or photo of hand-made or procedural work
• Formats: PNG, JPEG, or binary
• Include 3 WIP steps + final version
• Quality: sRGB, Baseline Standard
• Max file size: 20 MiB

▤ Textmode Graphics

• Text-based artwork: ASCII, ANSI, PETSCII, SHARPSCII, etc.
• Use built-in standard charsets only
• No custom charsets allowed
• Provide: hardware, display software, charset, font

♫ Music Streamed

• Formats: MP3 or OGG
• Max duration: 3:30 (fade out after)
• Playback with Winamp 5.x

♩ Music Tracked

• Formats: XM, MOD, Arkostracker
• Max duration: 3:30
• Compatible with tracker (e.g., Fasttracker)
• Exotic formats OK if you provide a player

⊡ Photos

• Edits allowed: filters, cropping, color grading, etc.
• No collages or photomontages (use Wild compo instead)
• Include original photo if retouched
• Formats: PNG or JPEG
• Quality: sRGB, Baseline Standard
• Max file size: 20 MiB

• Platform: any
• Max duration: 8 minutes
• Provide a 720p or 1080p video
